Almost there! Still need to work on the metal shader and finish up the skirt. Lots of tweaking left to do before the beauty render.

This looks awesome. It is really convincing as a tangible object too - like a figurine or something. I love the attention to detail in the anatomy too.

Great work man. Which program are you using to create this? With the high amount of detail, I'd say mudbox or zbrush. I'm also curious on the face count as well. Are you doing high poly's for a still render? Or using a displacement over it?

I use Zbrush for sculpting/detailing. Maya for base mesh and rendering.

He's about 3 million poly in Zbrush. About 28k poly in Maya with a displacement map.

Also, do you think you could do a wire frame render of it as well? I really like it a lot. :D

He looks so gross, but the detail is so astounding that it looks beautiful. It almost looks like a figurine that you can actually touch and feel.

awesome texture! are you directly texturing the lowpoly uvmap and then applying displacement for the render??
Reply
:iconkonartist3d:

That is correct except I polypaint the base colors first in zbrush then detail it up in photoshop.
